Each month, StringDirect members receive two original fashion-forward patterns direct to their home or via email. A pattern for an adult garment will always be included, along with a pattern for an accessory, an item for the home like a pillow or afghan, or a baby or child's item. Each monthly packet will include a printed color card for the patterns' yarns along with the patterns themselves, and members will enjoy a 20% discount on the yarns for that month's projects.

With the first month you will receive a skein of String's exclusive cashmere along with a one-skein pattern as a gift from us. You will also receive a binder in which to keep the monthly patterns whether you get them online or by mail.

We have initiated several improvements for the coming year based on our customers’ feedback.

For the 2008-2009 season, you will get:

• A choice of receiving a hard-copy in the mail or downloading the patterns from a members-only, password protected area of our website
• Access to online tutorials as well as special in-store tutorials, showing the techniques used each month
• Patterns that are more fashion-forward than last year's, and even a few for men this time!
• A free skein of String's exclusive cashmere yarn with a one-skein pattern
• Optional color cards of the actual yarn for an additional fee vs. the printed color cards that everyone will receive

And, of course, we have kept the key components of the program:

• Your 20% discount on the monthly project yarns
• Two patterns monthly, including one for an adult garment and one for an accessory, a child or baby, or for the home
