Directed Knitting Week of June 13th
I really hate to post photos of myself...but I wanted to show off my just finished Jasmine Pullover! I just played with a bunch of fun colors and it's the perfect sweater for cool summer nights. It works with any DK weight yarn, but my favorite choice would be Dolcetto DK or for a cotton option try Rowan's Summerlight DK.
We had a fantastic virtual event last week with Iris Schreier of ARTYARNS on color pooling with her new line of "spot" colors in 2ply Cashmere. It sold out quickly, and have already placed reorders.
We were mostly showing how to get the pooling effect by knitting in rounds and lining up the colors of stitches to create fun stripes.
I felt inspired by my favorite color with neons - color 737 Spots - and decided to try using it for Iris's easy top down Rainbow Cashmere Yoke Pullover. I got started last night and didn't want to stop! It's going to be so fun and colorful, and light and airy, and so very soft. I am going to make it with a short sleeve. One skein will be enough for the whole sweater.
Here's a link to the Artyarns 2 Ply Cashmere Ombre page, but the new colors are not up yet. Call or email me if you are interested in more of the spot colorways.
