Chart-ography: A knitter’s guide to reading charts

Intermediate Level Knitters

 Learn the language of knitting charts and never shy away from charted knitting patterns again! Not your average chart reading class, we will be coloring, knitting up cables, and starting a shawl together.

Prerequisites: Cast on, knit, purl, familiarity with different knit and purl stitch patterns (seed, stockinette, ribbing, etc.), and some basic knowledge of cables and lace stitches is helpful.

Materials list:
1 ball of medium to light-colored smooth worsted weight yarn
One pair of size US 7 or 8 needles
Pen or pencil
Lock-ring stitch markers
Cable needle (or a size US 6 or 7 Double-pointed needle)
Row counter (if desired)
Ruler or post-it notes
Highlighter pens in a few colors
