We are thrilled to welcome designer and author, Norah Gaughan, to talk about her first issue as Editor of Vogue Knitting Magazine
, and her new book The Twisted Stitches Sourcebook
. Norah has been designing since 1978 and has seen, and been instrumental in, the evolution of the knitting design world throughout the past 40 years! She was the Design Director at Berroco from 2005-2014, and her work has been published in countless knitting magazines and online publications. In addition, she has produced designs for yarn companies such as Bernat, JCA Reynolds, Adrienne Vittadini, Brooklyn Tweed, Quince & Co., and The Fibre Co. She has 979 designs on Ravelry, and her Beatnik for Knitty.com remains her pattern with the most favorites and most projects. She is best known for creating designs and stitch patterns inspired by mathematical expressions and patterns in nature.
